Brisbane Art Workshops was created to provide beginning students to professional artists/teachers with an opportunity to sharpen their technical skills, broaden and develop their creative and professional practice in a fun, casual, non-competitive atmosphere. Workshops are limited to 12-15 students, depending on the course being offered. Brisbane Art Workshops is an innovative art school with a professional website where students can research the artists/tutors as well as book and pay online using the secure payment system of PayPal.
Brisbane Art Workshops also has an eBay web-store for the students' convenience so they can purchase art supplies, art and business books, as well as places in the Weekend and Evening Workshops. Art materials will also be available for purchase at Weekend Workshops, however, all students are encouraged to pre-order any art materials they require.
The first Weekend Workshop for 2008 commences on the weekend of the 12th of January, and the first evening class commences on the 4th of February 2008 at Highgate Hill, in the arts precinct of Brisbane. Public transport, off street and street parking are available. Most Weekend Workshops open at 9.00 a.m. for a 9.30 a.m. start, finishing at 4.30 p.m., and participants are provided with a catered lunch, as well as morning and afternoon tea. Evening Workshops open at 6.00 p.m. for a 6.30 p.m. start, and finish at 9.30 p.m., and participants will have access to coffee and biscuits. Easels, tables and drop cloths are provided, and there is a ramp at the venue for ease of access.
At Brisbane Art Workshops the improvement of the student is their only focus. With a rolling roster of particularly talented, well-known artist/tutors, they have confidence that the painting student, beginner to professional, now has access to Workshops that really will kick start their painting results, backed up by a Satisfaction Guarantee.
