Queensland Government to use Funnelback

Funnelback Pty Ltd has today announced that it has signed a 3 year deal to provide website search services for the whole of Queensland Government.

Canberra, ACT (PRWEB) December 21, 2007 -- Funnelback Pty Ltd has today announced that it has signed a 3 year deal to provide website search services for the whole of Queensland Government.

The Funnelback search engine will power search on the Queensland Government's online entry point www.qld.gov.au as well as 69 other Queensland Government agency websites, including Premier and Cabinet, Treasury, Health, Communities, Transport, Emergency Services and Police.

Mr Stuart Beil, Funnelback General Manager said "this overarching solution will benefit Queensland Government website users by making it easier to find valuable information on policies and programs."

Funnelback will crawl and index all Queensland Government websites each weeknight to ensure the content available for search by the public is always fresh.

All of the technical aspects of this service, including hardware, software upgrades, network traffic and support will be managed and hosted by Funnelback.

Individual Queensland Government agency web managers will be provided with administration access to manage and edit their own agency's search service.

Funnelback will work with the Queensland Government to roll out the service in early 2008.
