Artist Slavica Caca Kovacev hails from the country of Serbia. Filled with a plethora of artistic talents, she studied the violin beginning in early childhood, continuing the musical passion today. Throwing herself into artistic endeavors, Caca devoted 15 years to her business designing ceramic lamp bases, lamp shades, and other uniquely creative arts. By 2006, Slavica Caca Kovacev moved to Australia. Deeply inspired by the beauty of Australia’s landscape, she took on painting, falling head over heels in love with the art. Today, Caca finds herself immersed in her artwork, partaking in many art exhibitions.

A budding artist, Caca is quickly capturing the eyes of many, and receiving abundant praise. In 2010, Caca partook in Brisbane’s “Creative Arts Spectacular”, London’s Offices “Color in My Soul” exhibition, and held “The Apple of My Eye” exhibition in the Graydon Gallery.

Caca’s work embodies a great deal of nature, reflecting the soul of Australia depicted through this artist’s eyes.

While her work is not considered surrealist, there is in a great deal of her artwork however, an outstanding use of vibrant and somewhat shocking color. This zesty color wheel supported on canvas reaches viewers, opening their minds to a world of excitement. Caca’s perspective of the world around her allows admirers to lose themselves in cascading worlds of peacock blues, shocking reds, opalescent whites, and splashes of canary yellows.

While her natural scenes spring from their canvases, Caca also has a talent for the portrait, capturing the liveliness of her subjects. Employing the use of vibrant backgrounds, Caca’s subjects, posing in such a way as to connect with their audience, leap from their backgrounds.

Most recently, Caca has released a great deal of new work including, “Strawberry Tree”. This acrylic on canvas depicts a larger-than-life tree encumbered with vividly red succulent strawberries, ripe for the picking. Another piece of note, “Strawberry Dream” is yet another delicious acrylic on canvas, inviting Caca’s viewers into the beautiful mouth-watering realm of strawberries.
